The OMID Foundation was established in 2021 to help the Afghan people affected by humanitarian crises, including the climate crisis, survive, recover and rebuild their lives through sustainable programs. We provide assistance to Afghans in the areas of healthcare, education, economic well-being and empowerment.

At our foundation, we believe that the most effective and efficient humanitarian aid is provided by people who know the region and its people well. Our foundation was founded by Afghans for Afghans. Together with local and community-based organizations, we are building a better future for the country. We listen to our partners, learn from their experiences and use the knowledge we have gained in collaboration with others.

The OMID AID webshop is the foundation's social enterprise with a double impact. On the one hand, the webshop is a platform for symbolic donations with which you immediately make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable. Each kit you purchase contains essentials for a family, a single mother, a child or an orphan. With your support you make their lives a little better. On the other hand, the webshop will eventually provide a platform for local Afghan entrepreneurs, including female entrepreneurs. By showcasing their products on a global platform, we not only support their craftsmanship, but also contribute to a stronger social and economic climate in Afghanistan. In this way we promote self-reliance and create new opportunities for the local community.
